What We Do

Founded in 2018 by a team with significant experience in the renewable energy industry, Pelagic Energy was established to specifically focus on developing flexible generation, energy storage and solar farms nationwide.

We are currently focused on the development of a portfolio of sites, each up to 50MW in size, across the UK. We currently specialise in three main assets classes:

1.  Flexible Generation - Rapid start up mains gas fuelled power stations that can respond rapidly to peaks in UK electrical demand using very low emissions clean, efficient generators.

2.  Battery Storage – Absorbing power off the grid at times of the day when we are producing too much and discharging when the UK needs it most. Large-scale battery storage sites are the future of enabling a reliable and clean energy mix in the UK.

3. Solar Farms - Utility scale ground mounted solar farms connected to the national electricity network forming part of the goal for net zero by 2050.
